Water Resources

Conserving Resources

Water is a valuable resource – including in everyday hotel operations. At Park Plaza Trier, we therefore make a conscious effort to use water efficiently and responsibly. Technical solutions play an important role, as does the voluntary support of our guests.

Our Measures at a Glance

Flow Restrictors in Showers and Taps
We use flow restrictors in our bathrooms. They help reduce water consumption without significantly affecting comfort when showering or washing hands.

Water-Saving Toilet Flush Systems
Our toilets are equipped with water-saving flush systems. This ensures that only as much water as necessary is used with each flush.

Towel and Bed Linen Changes on Request
Towels and bed linen are not changed unnecessarily as a matter of routine, but according to need and at the request of our guests. This helps reduce the use of water, detergent and energy in the laundry process.

Voluntary Opt-Out from Daily Housekeeping and Towel Changes
Our guests can choose to opt out of daily room cleaning. By doing so, we can save valuable resources together: for every room that is not cleaned, approximately 35 litres of water, 0.5 kWh of electricity and around 150 ml of cleaning products can be saved. Even a small decision during a stay can therefore make a noticeable contribution to more resource-conscious hotel operations.

Water-Efficient Washing Machine
We also use water-saving technology behind the scenes. Our washing machine helps us keep water consumption as low as possible during internal laundry processes.

Our Goal

Our aim is to save water wherever it is practical and sensible – through modern technology, conscious processes and the support of our guests. Together, we can contribute to a more resource-conscious hotel stay.
